I love to use this illustration by Angus Maguire – you will see it on my Pricing page too. It was commissioned some years ago by the Interaction Institute for Social Change and is shared freely and without written permission to reproduce it.

Follow the link above to download a high resolution ZIP file with various formats. All they ask in turn is that you credit them and Angus Maguire as the artist.

Since then, the illustration has gone viral with many people adding their addendum to it, which you can read more about here.

I especially love this piece because unlike the Tony Ruth illustration, originally commissioned for the Design in Tech 2019 report, this one has stayed clear of copyright infringement issues, and goes deeper to look at issues of access and inequity.

What do you think of it? I use this in every JEDI+ workshop and training I can and I’ve found it such a great conversation starter to examine issues of systems and power. I’d love your thoughts!
