AWID released this report a few years ago, though it’s still useful to our work in reshaping the funding ecosystem. As you’d expect, they focus on the role of power in the ecosystem and from page 39, they propose what a more equitable system could look like – balancing the roles of INGOs, local governments, women’s funds, the private sector, and foundations. It could be useful for you if you’re thinking through your role as a foundation or fund, or for an organisation seeking grants to better understand what the feminist landscape could look like, and how you could contribute to this vision.
